Rebecca Zavala

Rebecca Zavala is a Research Fellow in Early Childhood Development at Big Win Philanthropy. She brings experience in public health research, policy analysis, and systems strengthening, with a focus on advancing child health and social protection systems in low-resource and humanitarian contexts. Previously, she served as a Research Program Coordinator at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she led the implementation and evaluation of digital child health tools across clinical and community settings, translating evidence into actionable strategies for policymakers and partners.

Rebecca holds an MSc in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from the London School of Economics and Political Science and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. She is passionate about partnering with government leaders to strengthen institutions and drive sustainable, system-level change for children and families.

Investing in early childhood health and development shapes not only individual lives but future generations, and I’m motivated by our government partners who are committed to ensuring their nation’s children have the means to thrive.
